Having worked in financial services for over 35 years, Gareth has been a Certified Financial Planner™ since 1993. Immediately prior to joining MWA, Gareth was CEO of both a national investment management firm and a financial planning firm in Cardiff. And having decided to spend more time focusing on what he enjoys most - helping people achieve their goals through holistic financial planning – Gareth joined MWA in February 2025.
Gareth is also a Chartered Fellow (Financial Planning) with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI). He was a Senior Assessor for the Certified Financial Planner™ qualification in the UK for over 15 years, and also Chair of the Institute of Financial Planning in South Wales.
Outside of work Gareth enjoys live music and most sports. He has recently developed a keen interest in local history and also enjoys walking his ‘grand dogs’, Luna & Barney.
